The North East of England, is emerging as a significant hub for low-carbon hydrogen production and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies.
Teesside has a long history of heavy industry, including chemical production, steel manufacturing, and oil refining. By leveraging its industrial heritage, strategic location, and collaborative efforts between industry, academia, and government, Teesside is positioning itself as a leading hub for the deployment and innovation of low-carbon hydrogen and CCUS technologies, contributing to the UK’s net-zero emissions goals.
Purpose: Join us for this exciting workshop, with our partner NEPIC where we will discuss how the NE is emerging as the UK’s leading hub for low carbon hydrogen and Carbon Capture Utilisation innovations and deployment, and what is needed to accelerate the sector, including, infrastructure, investment, funding for R&D, skills, policy, regulation and consumer and customer acceptance.
