This expertise has been embedded in the Launch Programme which benefits selected Pioneer Group Accelerator Programme graduates and those joining the Programme through ICURe.

The Launch Programme is specifically for life science teams creating spin-out and start-up ventures. Delivered over 12 months, you’ll build on insights and business plans to prepare for investment.

What you’ll learn

For the bright sparks of life science startups

One to one

Coach

Your company will be allocated a dedicated life science business coach, to consolidate and build on validated findings from customer discovery. There are 2-3 monthly virtual coaching sessions that are tailored to the requirements of your company, supporting any stage of spin-out or investment activity.

Community

Expert Network

Companies on the Launch Programme will also benefit from access to Pioneer Group’s Expert Network. This is a database of entrepreneurs and life science experts who have worked in the sector, assembled by Pioneer Group over the last two decades. Our Expert Network are ready to help with the challenges that face new business founders.

Learning

Training

Additional in-person training sessions, networking, targeted workshops and investor introduction opportunities provide further wrap-around learning to support the transition into business. The in-person training sessions also cover many aspects of day-to-day business operations, raising finance and commercial management, with a focused life science perspective.

Pioneer Group operates funds that invest in young businesses, specialising in Seed to Series A funding for life science companies. We invest in life science companies that have come through our Venture Building programmes or are based at one of our UK & Ireland locations, allowing us to understand the people, technology and business before committing to investment. Our ecosystem includes laboratory and office spaces, creating optimal environments for companies focused on human and planetary health challenges. Understanding the space requirements, investment requirements and business processes for start-ups and scale-ups, ideally position Pioneer Group to provide specialist guidance along the entrepreneurial journey.
