Pioneer Group and JLL work to launch the Pioneer Group UK Life Science Start-Up Report 2021

In the coming weeks, Pioneer Group will launch the Pioneer Group UK Life Science Start-Up Report with data from 2021, an in-depth analysis of emerging businesses within the life sciences across the UK. The report has collected, analysed and interpreted data for over two decades. Initially started by BioCity Group, which merged in April 2021 to create Pioneer Group now continue the legacy.

Authored by Pioneer Group Executive Director, Dr Glenn Crocker MBE, the report looks at the prevalence of life science start-ups in the UK and the broader landscape in which they operate to also assess the quality of UK life science start-ups. By analysing the number of start-ups by region, area of scientific focus, funding, investment and university association, the report creates a broad picture of the current health and future of, the industry.

Dr Glenn Crocker, Pioneer Group Executive Director, said, “The UK Life Science Report is a key publication for the life science industry. We have worked hard over the past two decades to highlight the challenges and the success the sector has endured. The report includes data from companies across the UK not only our 10 locations; critical in establishing an unbiased, legitimate report of the industry.”

The findings of the Pioneer Group UK Life Science Start-Up Report will be launched in February 2022.
