ReNew ELP have developed Cat-HTR, an innovative technology that is able to convert end-of-life plastics into a range of high value feedstocks, including oils, chemicals and waxes. These can then be re-used to create virgin plastic material, or as a feedstock for the petrochemical industry. The technology is able to divert plastic waste away from landfill and the oceans, and helps in the drive towards a circular economy. Having acquired land on the Wilton International site and moved headquarters to the Wilton Centre 2016, plans are now underway to build the first operational facility. The first facility will see 20,000 tonnes of end of life plastic waste processed, with ambitious plans to increase production to up to 80,000 tonnes.
