The prize:

  • Venture Development Workshop

    A three-day virtual workshop focusing on value proposition, pitch preparation and IP positioning with Pioneer Group. All eligible entrants will be invited.
    12th – 14th March 2024

  • Technology Support with CPI

    • Technology road-mapping, scale-up and innovation support with CPI
    • Top teams will be invited for immediate support projects with CPI.
      Total in kind prize value: up to £75k
  • Pitching Opportunity

    After mastering the workshops, our top-performing teams will have an exclusive invitation to showcase their projects in a dynamic pitch session hosted at Wilton Centre. The event will host CPI Enterprise, local investors and dignitaries.

The Grand Prize:

One team will be selected as the overall Grand Prize Winner;

  • 12 months of Venture Development support with Pioneer Group

  • 12 months of free incubation space at Wilton Centre.

  • 12 months of ongoing scale-up and innovation support with CPI which depending on requirements may include tailored grant landscape review, bid development, technical consultancy and advice, and innovation support, one-to-one technology advisory sessions and use of test facilities.

Selection process

  • All applications will be reviewed by a CPI and Pioneer Group selection committee. All eligible teams will be invited to participate in the Venture Development and Pitch Preparation workshops.

  • On receipt of applications, selected teams showing potential will immediately be invited to receive the technology support with CPI.

  • Team engagement and attendance in both virtual workshops and the in-person pitch day, will factor into the selection of the final winner.

Shortlisted winners will receive hands-on technology scale-up and innovation support from CPI experts, scientists and engineering teams, as well as the opportunity to pitch in person to the CPI Enterprise investment team (27th March 2024).

The Grand Prize winner will receive one year’s free venture development support and space at the Wilton Centre within the region’s global decarbonised industrial cluster, including industrial, power and hydrogen companies.
