A new destination for science, leisure and community is coming to Oxford.
Pioneer Group and Firoka Group are working together to revitalise Ozone Leisure Park, creating new world-class laboratory and workspace alongside significant investment in the leisure, hospitality and community facilities that have made the park a valued local destination.
Oxford City Council’s Planning Committee has passed a unanimous resolution to grant planning permission for the redevelopment, marking an important step towards securing the park’s long-term future.
A New Destination for Oxford
The redevelopment will transform Ozone Leisure Park into a more connected, sustainable and welcoming destination, bringing together science, employment, leisure, hospitality and public space.
New laboratory and workspace will support Oxford’s growing science and technology sector, creating opportunities for companies at different stages of growth and helping to generate a wide variety of technical, research and entry-level roles.
Alongside the new employment space, the development will bring forward leisure and amenity facilities valued by the local community that will create long-term community benefit.

Designed Around the Community
The development will be delivered in phases to maintain an active leisure offer throughout the transformation of the site.
The restored Minchery Farmhouse and dedicated leisure building are planned as part of the first phase, allowing important community benefits to be delivered early in the development.
The project will also support local employment and businesses throughout construction and the long-term operation of the park.
Education and outreach programmes will connect local schools and communities with the science taking place on site, helping young people discover future opportunities in research, technology and related careers.
